Are we a faith community that sponsors ministries working in various areas of the larger community, or…are we a ministry working in the community that also worships together?
We founded ourselves on the latter—turning the usual notion of Sunday church on its head—but in reality we’re both. At the same time, we’re very clear that if our faith hasn’t made our pleasure to find ways to improve the lives of everyone we find in our paths, leave everyone we meet better than we found them, then our ministry is no more than a cause.
A cause is just activity if it doesn’t flow from a deep relationship with our God, and Sunday worship is irrelevant if it isn’t just one more day out of seven in which we live out that relationship with God and each other. Ministry and worship should be understood as two expressions of the same relationship.
Here you can find out about all the ministries that help us relate with others in their day to day lives. Whether you’re interested in helping or being helped, these pages will get you started and point you to those who can take you the rest of the way.
